About the event
Join us for a FREE children's writing workshop run by author of The Bird Thief, Rachel Keating.
Rachel will be running a 'character development' workshop related to characters in The Bird Thief, using a variety of props and exercises to get the group thinking creatively about characters and emotions. Rachel will do a reading from her book and the session will round off with a Q&A, with the opportunity to ask Rachel all about being an author and what it's like writing a book.

About Rachel:
Growing up in the Midlands, Rachel began writing stories as soon as she could hold a pencil, well, that is, when she wasn’t holding a book or holding anything she could find to make a den out of. In her adult life Rachel has lived in Canterbury, Herne Bay, Germany and is now back in the Midlands. Still writing stories, reading books and making dens, this time with her two children.
