About the event
🎃 Talented felt artist, Debbie Radford, joins us for a three-hour introduction to this lovely craft this Autumn.
Debbie is a crafter with considerable experience. In this fun seasonal class, Debbie will guide you through the basics of dry needle felting, helping you to create at least one pumpkin.
Dry needle felting is a modern sculptural method using special barbed needles to tangle fibres together, enabling you to sculpt three-dimensional designs.
During the 3-hour workshop, you'll learn how to:
🎃 Shape - roll and compress the wool into the design shape.
🎃 Poke - stabbing repeatedly into the wool at the correct angle to avoid breaking the barbed needle.
🎃 Rotate - turning your piece so that it shapes into the form intended.
🎃 Refine - smoothing and adding extra pieces effectively.
You'll leave with a good understanding and confidence in felting, and at least one pumpkin.
All tools and materials will be provided for use on the day.
Tickets £20 per person.
