LAUNCH PARTY - a celebration of Salem's legacy of kindness and community.

Discover the heartwarming magic of Daventry's most celebrated resident in this special three book collection. The Salem Collection honours the memory of Salem, Daventry's much-loved three-legged cat who captured the hearts of an entire community.

Following his tragic passing in a hit-and-run incident in early 2026, a massive public outpouring of grief inspired the Suddenly Writing Club to channel their thoughts into literature. With the blessing of Salem's owner, Erin, Suddenly Publishing is proud to present three new books written by four local authors.

Each short story beautifully captures Salem's legacy of fun, community and warmth while celebrating the historic market town of Daventry that he called home. By purchasing these books you are directly supporting the community. Proceeds from every sale are shared between the publisher, the authors and Erin through a formal agreement. to ensure Salem's spirit lives on.

Additionally, Suddenly Publishing is making a top-up donation from these sales directly to the Salem Statue Fund to help bring the bronze statue, plaque, plinth and surround to reality.

The launch party takes place at Suddenly On Sheaf Street bookshop.
