Writing Club (Afternoon)

Join us at the Suddenly Writing Club – a group for local storytellers and writers in partnership with Suddenly Publishing. Founded and hosted in September 2025 by Suddenly Publishing Creative Director, Charlie Tomkins, the Club now has more than 50 members. These sessions are perfect for those starting out, as well as more experienced writers.

This informal meeting is a safe space for experienced and budding writers. The session includes fun writing prompts, discussion, advice, and a chance to meet likeminded published authors. Bring your pen and paper, plenty of ideas and be prepared to be challenged.

We explore a wide range of genres from memoir to Sci-Fi to help you on the way to writing the next bestseller!

This group meets twice monthly – please sign up for each session you wish to attend.

First Wednesday each month is the Prompt session / the third Wednesday each month is the Open session for general writer discussion.
